InerQi Offers $25,000 in Support to the Victims of Hurricane Charley
CAPE CORAL, FL August 25, 2004 — InerQi, LLC, (A small South-Western Florida company and maker of Toxic-Free personal care products ), delivered $25,000 in product donations to the Fort Myers, FL., area on Tuesday in response to requests from the Salvation Army and American Red Cross for personal hygiene products to benefit the victims of Hurricane Charley.
Having just relocated to Cape Coral, in SW Florida, two weeks prior to the hurricane, the owners of InerQi responded immediately to the local medias call for action to help neighboring communities hit hard by Hurricane Charley and in need of some of the most basic essentials. While pleas for water and ice were quickly answered by the generosity of many, cries for many other fundamentals were being under supplied.
For those hit hardest by the hurricane’s devastation, and suffering from deteriorating sanitation conditions, basic essentials for cleanliness, such as soap, shampoo, hand cleanser among other personal hygiene products, were in scarce supply. Local television networks and radio stations urged people from surrounding communities to reach out to their neighbors and give from their hearts. This call to action prompted the owners of InerQi to donate 47 cases of their Toxic-Free personal care products, including Shampoo, Conditioner, Hand Wash, Shower Gel, Facial cleanser and Body Lotion, to help to support those families in need of basic hygiene products.
InerQi made separate donations to the Lee County Salvation Army, American Red Cross and United Way in collaboration with the Friendship Volunteer Resource Center. All organizations were incredibly thankful for the timely donations provided by InerQi. Those personal care products supplied will be used to fulfill an immediate need to victims throughout South-West Florida.
To promote further giving by local companies, InerQi is urging other small, local companies to give goods and/or services to help to support our the victims whose lives were so severely affected by the wrath of Hurricane Charley.
