600 Pound Woman’s Goal of 1,000 Pounds Infuriates Some
I must confess, when I read about a 42 year old mother of two trying to become the fattest woman in the world to break current records (of the fattest person alive, not who has died), I was kind of disgusted. I think you can probably disguise her self acceptance as something that is good, but in reality, the fact that someone can barely walk twenty feet without sitting down isn’t doing herself or her family any favors, let alone setting a good example for her children.
The woman is currently 600 pounds, and she is trying to eat her way to becoming 1,000 pounds, which means she would need to gain 400 pounds, and further endanger her life. Look, I think that self acceptance is a good thing, I really do. But that is just taking self acceptance and saying that slowly killing yourself and surely putting yourself at risk for a convinced early death, particularly when you have a family, is just selfish, no matter what the angle.
I can’t imagine that living an motionless life with diabetes is much fun. The woman says that she just enjoys fatty, greasy foods, and has always wanted to enjoy eating what she wants rather than bowing to the demands of what society deems as an acceptable weight and eating habits. She said that she was mercilessly teased in school, and took diet pills her whole life to try to lose weight, but next she just decided to compose a sort of pastime out of being overweight.
She models for a large woman’s website, and she claims that she feels good about herself and isn’t putting herself at risk and that she is “healthy”. I’d like to see her doc get on and say that. I’m sorry, I support women’s self acceptance, I really do. But, being the health conscious person that I am, I just can’t condone the promotion of such a blatant disregard for one’s body. Like the cliche goes, your body is your temple. You only get one, and you gotta take care of that one and give it TLC until the day you die.
She does have her supporters, but I think she may be confusing self acceptance with self abuse.

Light Veggie Wrap Recipe
So, I think I’ve discovered my latest favorite lunch view. It’s meat free, and taste delicious. Even my husband thinks it’s filling! I’ve additionally discovered a favorite new grocery item as well, which that veggie wrap uses. It’s really not a wrap, per se, but you can wrap it a bit. It uses a flat bread. The flat bread I use is the Flat Out whole grain flat bread one. It’s only 100 calories and very tasty and filling.
It’s got lots of fiber too, which is why it is so filling. One word of caution though, considering of it’s high fiber substance, it plus can get soggy whether you manufacture it in the and put any type of liquid or mayo or anything on it, so I’d assemble it right before you eat it to avoid that.
Here’s how I build my wrap. Let me start with the ingredients – it may sound like a lot, but you can build that for several days in a row with these ingredients, with minimal work.
Ingredients list :
Tomatoes, 2
Cucumber, 1
1 T olive oil
Garlic or garlic powder
Red onion, to taste
Broccoli sprouts, organic preferably
Washed baby spinach leaves
Hummus of choice, I like to use sun dried tomato hummus personally
Ok, you’re all set. start by dicing the tomatos, red onion and the cucumber up to assemble a sort of “salad”. Add the olive oil and that garlic. You may additionally add a tad bit of parsley whether you’d like and sea salt for flavor, or whatever seasonings you have to flavor it. that is the bulk of your wrap.
Get the flat bread out, and spread it generously with hummus. Try to buy low calorie hummus by the way, some of them are loaded with unnecessary oils that add to the fat and calorie substance. I’ve found that buying store type is usually the best.
Now, add a layer of baby spinach leaves. thereupon add your mixture of red onion, cuke and tomato, trying to get the liquid out before you add it to the wrap. Add the broccoli sprouts as well, and be generous, they’re super healthy and low cal! Wrap it all up like a burrito. You may need to eat it with a fork whether it’s coming out everywhere, as it does when I assemble it since I load it up with so many veggie.
