I’ve decided to put together a short, succinct list to help you on the way to getting your summer-perfect bikini (or swim trunks whether you’re a guy) body.  Believe it or not, whether you’re only a few pounds off your ideal summer goal weight and you just have to get a a little of that additional winter padding off, next it’s not all that hard to manufacture a few habit changes to shrug off the weight in no day.

1.) Expose yourself to sunlight as often as you can. During the day, at your job, try to get outside a few times. I firmly believe that sunshine is a natural appetite suppressant, and I totally notice a difference in my appetite when I either lounge out in the sun or whether I just go out and get a bit of the bright orange orb’s light in my eyes. There’s something about a bit of warmth and sunshine that makes you crave healthier foods like fruits (especially fruits!) and veggies.

2.)  Drink a TON of water.  Add some lemon juice, fresh squeezed whether you can. Lemon juice helps to purify your body, and it plus even helps to keep your appetite down. whether you want to kill it even more, take a teaspoon of pure organic cinnamon as well, and that evens out your blood sugar so you have less starvation spikes all through your day.

3.) Listen to a great hypnosis CD for weight loss. These can really kick your weight loss ambitions into high drive, even without you knowing what’s happening. It’s all on a subliminal level, so you actually eat less without even understanding why necessarily. Cool concept!

4.)  Foresake some of the salt.  Try to pass on salting your food. additional sodium just makes you retain more water, which can add up to five pounds or more of water weight.

Anti Salt Bill Goes Too Far?

‘ve heard of the government trying to regulate health and other aspects of our lives and the decisions we produce with it, but now that one I think is going way overboard.  Apparently there are some in New York who think that New Yorkers need to be forced to cut back on their salt intake. Yes, salt intake here in the US is disgustingly high, and it probably has been the cause of positive health issues, however, so have fats and calories.

I am one who thinks that cutting out assured types of foods or trying to legislate them in public places where folks dine is only going to go so far as to hurt business, and I am against anything that hurts businesses right now. I mean, whether you want to really control salt intake, you would have to have a presence not only in the restaurants that citizens frequent, but plus in their homes, and even in the grocery stores.

Think about it, you can only regulate the public places, not a person in their own home, so what is the point of hurting business when you know you can’t regulate it all the date?

Of course, chefs in New York are in a tizzy (I would be too).  While there may be such a thing as social responsibility, being forced to not add any salt or salt spices to your dishes is downright “absurd” and is the government going overboard. I would have to  agree.

I know that I need to cut my salt intake down, but whether I were forced to eat a saltless, less flavorful dish at a restaurant every instance I dined out and wanted to enjoy myself, well I’d be a little bit salty (ok I think I just committed one of the worst puns ever).

The bill has been introduced by a Democrat in New York, and it proposes to fine restaurants in violation of using salt or salt derivatives in it’s cooking $1,000 per violation.  I can’t believe we’re focusing on something so ridiculous. How many lives do they really think they’re going to save by doing that?  Let’s hope that bill gets squashed pronto.
