Lipo Dissolve

There’s a new procedure for cosmetic improvement that states it can remove unsightly fat and cellulite in as little as 2 weeks duration.  The procedure is a non-surgical one and is safer and less invasive than the surgical procedures such as liposuction.  Cellulite reduction creams and treatments help to reduce the appearance of cellulite, but that treatment actually says that it destroys fat cells from the inside via series of injections (ouch).

This new cosmetic procedure is called lipodissolve and it is performed by a physician.  What’s involved in lipodissolve is a series of small injections done directly into the problem areas of localized fatty tissue.  The mechanism of lipodissolve’s effectiveness is the injections cause the fat to be dissolved naturally by the body.
A consultation is done prior to scheduling for the lipodissolve procedure.  Although results can be seen in as little moment as 2 weeks, sometimes the lipodissolve can require from 4 to 12 sessions.
Areas often targeted by the liipodissolve procedure are the chin area, buttocks, waist, love handles, under the eyes and arms.   whether you enter asante medispa and search on your computer, you can read about lipodissolve. They feature before and after photos of clients who have gotten lipodissolve treatments.  The differences in the photos and reduction of cellulite to the buttocks and waist area were dramatic and impressive.
In order to be eligible for lipodissolve, you must be within 30 pounds of your ideal weight. For each session of the lipodissolve treatments, only one problem area can be treated at a day.

I think I found the PERFECT healthy snack…homemade protein bars!

This is super easy, and it is absolutely perfect for either breakfast, pre-workout, post-workout recovery, or anytime snack.  It is a great combo of healthy complex carbs, high-quality protein, and “good fat”.  whether you use the Smart Balance type of all-natural peanut butter that has flax oil, thereupon you get an added nutritional boost.  Here’s the recipe…

 2 cups dry old-fashioned oats

4 scoops of whey protein powder

1/2 cup all-natural peanut butter

approx 6 tbsp. of water

Mix all ingredients in a large mixing bowl (easiest to do by hand).  Dough should be fairly stiff and formed into bars on wax paper.  Either freeze for 30 minutes or chill in refrigerator until ready to eat.

I tried that recipe today, and it really does taste great!  It made 6 bars for me, but I made them kind of big… you might be able to build 8 bars out of that recipe if you form them a little smaller.  You have no notion how excited I am about that, considering that will solve the dilemma of what kind of snack you can eat on the go.  (I found that recipe in The Body Sculpting Bible For Women.)  that is so inexpensive and easy to carry around.  However, it should be refrigerated, so just remember that and plan accordingly.

Formula For Workout Success

S = D x (T + N + R)

S - Success; D - Determination; T - Training; N - Nutrition; R - Rest

I saw that formula in a book called The Body-Sculpting Bible For Women, and I agree with that wholeheartedly!  whether you want to succeed in achieving the new body you’ve always dreamed of, next the main thing you need is determination above all else!!  whether you are not completely determined, thereupon you will only give your training and nutrition a half-hearted effort, which won’t take you very far.  You may only do one set instead of 3.  You might swing the weights with lots of momentum instead of reaching the full contraction & release of the muscle.  You might spend most of your date amoung sets talking to friends (instead of a 1 to 3 minute rest - it becomes a 10 - 15 minute rest).  You might spend your instance on the treadmill hanging on to the machine.  Does any of that sound familiar?  next there’s rest.  that is EXTREMELY important… it is part of the equation.  whether you place your body under vigorous physical, mental, and emotional stress, next adequate rest and relaxation is vital in order to keep your hormones (especially cortisol) in check.  Extremely high levels of cortisol have been connected with fat storage - particularly around the mid-section.  So, training, nutrition, and rest are very critical.  However, without determination to reach your goals, soon after you won’t succeed.  Remind yourself often why you want to do be fit.  Put a picture of yourself on the refrigerator with a list of reasons to get fit right underneath it.  that will serve as a steady reminder and inspiration for you.  The fit lifestyle is not an easy one, but it is totally worthwhile!

Sunrise Alarm Clocks - A bright idea for the winter blues

September 15, 2004 — A bright idea for the winter blues.

With the march of time comes the seasons and as we approach the end of summer the days begin to shorten and we increasingly find ourselves spending more of our daytime in darkness or artificially lit conditions.

Up until modern times our bodies have seen darkness as symbolising the time when we should be sleeping and with dawn and the onset of natural daylight the time when we should be awake.

But modern society has given birth to a 24 hour culture, where humans are expected to live and work around the clock. Of course our bodies just haven’t evolved to a sufficient level to take this change in our stride. So the many of us who work regular and irregular hours can sometimes go all day and only experience artificially lit conditions, either at home or at our place of work.

This can cause many problems and has become something of a debilitating situation for many people. If you feel more lethargic, depressed and unwell in the autumn and winter months then you could be suffering from what is called SAD, or Seasonal Affective Disorder.

Don’t worry you are not alone, it is a very widespread and somewhat misunderstood condition. Year on year more and more people are coming to terms with Seasonal Affective Disorder and the seasonal change in their health and wellbeing and are increasingly looking to take measures to combat the condition.

There are now some great products on the market that can help you overcome Seasonal Affective Disorder and they really do make a huge difference to your quality of life, remember it could affect you for up to 6 months of the year from October right through to the following March.

If you work shifts or even regular hours but find yourself increasingly awakening in darkness to a startling alarm clock then an ideal product for you would be the Lumie Bodyclock or the Sunrise System Dawn Simulator. Both products are what we call sunrise alarm clocks, they effectively mimic or simulate a sunrise. It sounds simple I know but both products are massively effective in allowing you to awake from sleep naturally, leaving you refreshed and in much better shape to face the day ahead.

The Lumie Bodyclock comes fitted with a light globe which acts as an artificial sun and 30 minutes before you are due to be awoken by the alarm the Lumie Bodyclock will start its sunrise simulation, your body responds to this by slowly preparing you to wake up naturally. Many Lumie Bodyclock users find that after just a few days of use they can turn off the back up audible alarm as their bodies begin to awaken naturally.

The Sunrise System Dawn Simulator works in very much the same way, instead of being fitted with a light globe The Sunrise System Dawn Simulator uses your very own bedside lamp to recreate the sunrise dawn simulation.

As well as providing sunrise simulations both the Lumie Bodyclock and Sunrise System Dawn Simulator will work in reverse and provide you with a very soothing and sleep inducing sunset effect. So you will not only awake as nature intended but getting to sleep will become more natural too.

Both products have proved to be very valuable aids in the fight against SAD and will go some way to making the months ahead more manageable and less stressful.

Sizing Up Your Food Portions

It’s hard to figure out what or how much makes up a portion when preparing your food. It’s obvious I’ve had to many portions on my plate and that is why I’m now having to lose weight.

Here are a few samples of various food and what counts as a serving:

1. BREAD: 1 slice of toast, 1 ounce of boxed cereal, 1/2 cup cooked cereal, 1/2 bagel

2. VEGETABLES: 1 cup raw, leafy vegetables, 1/2 cup cooked vegetable

3. FRUIT: 1 med piece of fruit, 1/2 cup mixed fruit, 3/4 cup fruit juice

4. MILK: 1 cup milk or yogurt, 2 ounces of processed cheese

5. MEAT: 2-3 ounces cooked lean meat, poultry or fish (size of deck of cards)

6. OTHER FOODS: 1 egg, 2 tablespoons peanut butter, 1/3 cup nuts.

I have found that using a small size plate helps. It looks like you have a lot more to eat. For me, it’s mind by matter. As a child I was always made to clean off my plate. I still live that way but have changed to a smaller plate. Some things are so ingrained, I just can’t change. It’s all about adapting to continue that successful weight loss journey.

Is Hoodia Gordonii the Wonder Pill for Dieters?

You’ve probably heard about hoodia gordonii is recent years. The hype seemed to start when 60 Minutes correspondent Leslie Stahl travelled to Africa to see what all the fuss was about. She and her crew hired a bushman to take them into the Kalahari Desert so that she could sample that cactus-like succulent plant [...]
